Assign reminders to people you share lists with and theyll be reminded. You can collaborate and assign tasks to other people who also use iCloud. Some features arent available when using other accounts.

Choose a member that you want to assign to. Click the person icon in the bottom-right of the list header to open the List sharing. Simply tap on a task in your list then on the task detail view under the task name tap Add step and add a name for it. Its great for splitting up tasks and knowing whos responsible for what so nobody forgets.
